I joined BAVFC after graduating John Carroll, and living in in Ocean City for 5 summers. My brother was a member of Fallston and College Park FDs, so I was hooked at an early age. I used to ride my bike around the firehouse when I was real young, and Don MacLean used to yell at me for bringing my bike into the firehouse to get a drink of water by the old radio room. John Eid and myself walked in together one day in the Fall of 1988 and picked up an application – I remember, we were actually scared to open the door to the firehouse to get the application.
